The one thing that is true for all of us is that we are all subject to some pretty major forces. The way in which we handle or accept those forces is as important as how we handle them. For example, there are a lot of Christians out there who think that the fact that I’m gay should be grounds for my own damnation.
I am on the side of the gays and that’s fine. But to go where Jesus went and try to find out about Jesus’ real identity, to go to him and ask him about his real identity, to try to talk to him about his real identity, that is not appropriate.
I find that I am more likely to believe in Jesus than I am to believe I can change my homosexuality. I find that it makes me more angry and frustrated than I am with my own sexuality. I find that it is the only thing that can make me feel like a man. It is the only thing that can make me feel like Jesus. It gives me the illusion that I can be a man, but only if I believe that I can be a man.
